Syria Map Update : ISIS on eradication as Syrian Army gains 50 km² in east Homs.

The government troops supported by local fighters continue marching on in last Islamic state’s enclave in the eastern pocket of Hama-Homs provinces.

After striking enemy hideouts, the combat forces managed to knock off ISIS from 5 villages located to the east of Jubb Al-Jarrah region, gaining 50 square km thwarts of land, a military source said.

Also, the operations resulted in the death of a number of terrorists, destroying their weapons and equipment, including armored vehicles and technicals.

The source pointed out that the engineering units are clearing the controlled areas to dismantle the IEDs and booby traps planted by the jihadists of the extremist group.
