PICTURES: Syrian Army detonates large rebel tunnel near Damascus

On Sunday morning, The Syrian troops – led by Republican guard – have foiled militants’ attempt to infiltrate into army territories by blowing up a tunnel in Ayn Tarma district, northeast Damascus.

“The Army managed to burst the hostile tunnel by digging up another tunnel under the militants one, then padding it by explosive” a military source told Muraselon website.”

Elsewhere in eastern Syria, The government forces continue closing in on the death cult group of ISIS in the eastern city of Deir Ezzor, reaching the western bank of Euphrates river.
