Pictures: First seen ever images of mini US airbase in Syria's Al-Raqqa
The U.S. Air Force official website released several photos of their Special Forces operating inside a mini US airbase in northern Syria this week.
The same outlet didn’t mention where the exact location of the images. Nevertheless, opposition media said that the US airbase is located in “Sarrin” in the western countryside of Al-Raqqa.
“UNDISCLOSED LOCATION — A U.S. Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey prepares to land on a landing zone at an undisclosed location, May 18, 2018. The 441st Air Expeditionary Squadron at the landing zone supports all joint and coalition operations in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.” US Air-force website said, publishing photos of their troops.
The United States – which leads the international coalition against ISIS – provides military and air support to Syria’s democratic forces (SDF) in the eastern regions of Syria, stationed in more than 10 military bases.
